Directly accessible provisioning ashore makes this a culinary stop not to miss - with shellfish farming offering plenty of mussels, clams and oysters to enjoy! Known as “The Little Venice” of the Languedoc, Sète, with its many waterways and canals, links the large inland lake of Etang de Thau with the sea. August sees a longstanding Water-jousting Tournament held since 1666 – with the colorful pageantry being viewed from the canal sides. The area is popular for its excellent watersports, especially for kite surfing and wing foiling, with an 8 mile stretch of Blue Flagged beach within easy reach of the marina.
