Approaches to Liverpool by motorboat or yacht are made down the Queen's Channel, the Crosby Channel, and the River Mersey following the same route as the heavy shipping. The channels are all well marked by numbered and lit buoyage to cope with the strong tides). This buoyage MUST be followed, On approach, use ch37 to reach the lock keeper. Locks operate in accordance with tide times. You can download our tide times online. Max beam = 7m, Max Draft 3m, Length 30m The lock operates a No Jacket, No passage policy. Please ensure all crew have their life jackets on.
On arrival, please use CH37 to radio the lock. A marina operative will meet you on your berth with a welcome pack and be there to show you around. Visitor berths are BB01-BB06. The lock keeper will instruct you what berth you are allocated.
